We are planning changes to Frimley Park – with an extension to the existing Emergency Department, a new Helipad, and a new Day Surgery Unit – tell us what you think...
Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has started to work with patients, local people and staff to come up with a series of proposals to expand the front of the existing Emergency Department. The proposed building has not yet received approval from the Surrey Heath Planners, and the planners themselves will also undertake a further planning consultation.
The proposed building will be built to modern sustainability standards (BREEAM) and will be modern, light, airy and environmentally friendly. The building extension will house a new Emergency Department, Day Surgery Unit and a Helipad (helicopter landing pad).

In the work so far, we have done our best to come up with proposals which will not only bring about a new building and environment, but also act to change the way we work to give better service to all our patients.
We will aim to keep disruption to a minimum during the building work. Detailed plans about how patients will access the site by car and access the emergency department are being drawn up at present. We assure you of our desire to continue to give excellent service whilst the work is in progress.
All proposals outlined in this document will also be subject to the final decision by the hospital’s Board of Directors.
Many members of our local community will use the new Emergency Department and Day Surgery Unit over time, so we would like to consider the views of as many people as possible.
